Campus urged to conserve energy

Due to rising utility costs at the University, everyone is asked to please be mindful of your use of energy — the same as you would at home. For example, turn off electrical appliances. Turn off lights when leaving a room. Shorten showers. Lower thermostat settings. Keep windows and doors closed to allow mechanical systems to operate at minimum levels. Report leaking faucets or other signs of water loss. Turn off computers and printers. Do not use space heaters. Turn off lab research equipment as soon as results are obtained, especially laboratory hoods. Please be an energy steward in all you do. For more information on how to conserve energy on campus, contact Dr. Mike Nivens at mnivens@tntech.edu.
